Over the past 28 years some items have sold for thousands of dollars and others for several hundred dollars.  No matter what you have to invest in our youth, there’s something that will fit your budget!

Every dollar raised at the auction will support 4-H programs in Wisconsin.  Nearly 150,000 youth from every corner of the state participate in 4-H in Wisconsin.  Your investment provides them with cutting-edge programs that position them to be successful adults.

Three Ways to Join a Combine

1. Contact the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation at 608.262.1597 or info@Wis4HFoundation.org to request a Combine form. Complete and return the Combine pledge form via email or mail by August 1, 2020.
2. Make a secure online donation at Wis4HFoundation.org and note that you want to join a Combine.
3. Send your contribution to the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation by August 1, 2020, and note that you want to join a Combine.

On the Tuesday evening of the Wisconsin State Fair, the Governor’s Blue Ribbon Meat Products Auction benefitting the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation begins with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 5:00 pm in the second floor atrium of the Wisconsin Exposition Building.  Join Alice in Dairyland and the Fairest of the Fair as we celebrate the Wisconsin meat industry and our 4-H youth.

As you come up the stairs or elevator, 4-H youth will be ready with your bidder card.  You’ll note the sponsor banners, as well as the silent auction items in the reception area.

The formal program hosted by the Fabulous Farm Babe Pam Jahnke begins at 6:00 pm in the auction area adjacent to the atrium.  Auction catalogs are handed out at the door so you’ll know when your favorite items will be sold.

Former Secretary of Agriculture Ben Brancel will host the auction with Bob Johnson, a well-known auctioneer and enthusiastic 4-H alum, calling for bids.  Five ring men will be placed throughout the auction area taking bids.

Hold your bidder card high when the meat product you want is on the auction block.  If you win the bid, your name will be called by Auctioneer Bob and Host Ben.  Our 4-H youth will assist with the paperwork.  As soon as you’ve signed the bid form, you’ll go to the photo area just outside the auction area.  There we’ll take a photo of you, the meat products you purchased, the meat processor who crafted the meat item and a dignitary or two.  After the auction you’ll pay for your purchase or request an invoice. We accept checks or any major credit card.

Dear Friend,

The Governor’s Blue Ribbon Meat Products Auction benefiting the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at our new location on the second floor of the Exposition Center at the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis.

When the gavel dropped for the final time last year, more than $75,000 was raised through the auction of the Wisconsin State Fair champion meat products alone.  Add in additional funds raised by our sponsors and supporters, and the total soars to more than $100,000!

The proceeds benefit the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation which supports nearly 150,000 youth through leadership development activities, program support and scholarships.  The auction will take place in partnership with the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation, Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors (WAMP), UW-Extension and the Wisconsin State Fair.

As you know, 4-H is the largest youth-serving organization in Wisconsin.  What you may not know is that 4-Hers are more likely to make good choices, get better grades and go to college.  And they’re less likely to engage in risky behavior.  Your support of the 4-H Foundation helps provide funds that allow our UW-Extension partners to offer youth development programs and services across the state of Wisconsin.
